Does anyone have imformation about Martha Ella Anderson, the wife of William Alford Lea? William is my great grandfather.

I have a William Alfred Lea DOB 4/28/1852 in Liverty, Amite, Mississippi married to Ella Anderson DOB abt. 1853 in Amite, Mississippi. Married 1/2/1879 in Amite, Mississippi. I have no record of any children.

My William Alford Lea was also born 4-29-1852. I don't have any information on Ella Anderson, my great grandmother. Their children are: Ernest, Edgar, Eugene Scott(my grandfather), Tom, Mary, Ralph and Hoyt. Do you have any information about Ella Anderson's family? How are you related to William and Ella?

I recently came into possession of pictures of Wm. and Ella Anderson Lea. I will have to scan and send to you, if you have the capability on your computer. I am the greatgranddaughter of Iverson Green Lea, who was William Lea's brother. My grandmother was Stella Corinne Lea Williama. Where do you live? We are having the 46th Annual Lea Reunion on October 15, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Percy Quin State Park. Can you come?

My husband's line branches off at William Alfred's brother. Wilford Zachariah Lea Rachel Powell had a son named Jefferson Davis Lea. He was my husband's g-g-grandfather. I have quite a bit of info. if you want it.

Michelle: You still don't say where you live. My great grandfather was Iverson Green Lea, who was Jefferson Davis Lea's brother. My greataunt Ella was named after Ella Anderson Lea. There are many Andersons here in Amite County, MS. Also, some of the Andersons are buried in a Lea Family cemetery that I maintain. I have a picture of Ella Anderson Lea and Jefferson Davis Lea, and their children. As I stated before, Janie Butler Smith, who lives in Pineville, LA, is also a descendant of Jefferson Davis Lea and Ella Anderson Lea. She was here for the 45th Annual Lea Family Reunion last year. I live in McComb, MS. My husband has a bunc of Lea cousins in Dallas (Richardson, TX). The reunion is on Sunday, October 15, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Percy Quin State Park, just outside of McComb. We are about 7 hours from you. You head east on Interstate 20 to Jackson, MS, and then turn south on Interstate 55 for 1 hour south. We are 15 miles from the LA/MS line. We are 1 1/2 hours from the N.O. airport, 1 hr. 15 min. from BR airport, and 1 hr. 15 min. from Jackson airport. Hope to see you.

I read with interest the postings regarding William Alfred Lea and Martha Ella Anderson Lea. They were my grandparents. My father was Curry Lea.
