"Last Wednesday I spent the day at the
Hall of
Records in Annapolis looking for information on my father's side of the family but I took the time to look at church records from the Immaculate
Conception and found the marriage information … On Oct. 25, 1863 a George
Meagher married an Elizabeth
Rittenhouse.
"I also found a burial at the Church for a Rebecca
Meagher on September 12, 1887. She was 23 years old and died of consumption and was buried at St. Peters Cemetery. On the 1880 census John and Mary [
Meagher] had a niece Rebecca who was 15 years old and this would match her."
