I descent through Littleton through his son Asbury F. and Julia Ann Ogletree. Asbury F's daughter Martha Ann married Julia Ann's son William C edwards.

I am a descendant of some Georgia Ogletrees as well. My family comes from Meriwether County Georgia. My grandfather's name was Gonzella Ogletree and he married Nellie Turner. They had 13 children, my mother Jewel Inez was one. She married a Gates from Pine Mountain, Ga. I am hungry for any information.

On 16 Jan 1864 Nancy J. Lane married W.D. Ogletree in Chambers Co., AL.

He married (2) Martha Thompson on 21 September 1837 in Georgia Children by Sarah Meadows 1. John R.M. OGLETREE MAR 1835 in Taliaferro Co. GA m. 26 Apr 1855 to Harriet E. Morgan 2. Thomas R. OGLETREE b 1836 GA who married Emeline Wilkinson had children Daniel, Sidney and Elizabeth Frances Ogletree b: 7 DEC 1861. Thomas died by Jan 18, 1873.

someone e-mailed me and suggested that Reiner Ogletree had twin siblings in her family too. I do not have much to go on other than these names.The story I have been told by Leonard carters wife is that her mother in law (Rainer) died on a road trip to Calif. to visit relatives there. There is also a rumor of Native American decent but I have no evidence to prove this either. There is also another deceased relative, a Thomas Carter, son of Leonard and Jessie Carter. Thomas has a son who is Thomas Jr. who lives in Florida I believe and a daughter who lives in Cape Cod, Mass.If any of this seems familiar to you please contact me. Thanks!

A bit of a tangent from the Ogletree postings...Rev. Martin and Anna Hyink moved to Castlewood, SD, where he was pastor of the Presbyterian Churches of Castlewood and Bemis until 1942. Jacob and Niesje Kleinjan Tillma (formerly Tillema) moved from Sioux County, IA, to Castlewood that same year. They joined the Presbyterian Church in Castlewood as they were related to Martin Hyink through John and Triente (Katherine)Tillma Hyink. But I have not found how John and Martin are related. There seem to be many John Hyinks, so gets rather confusing. Any information on the Hyink-Tillma relationship would be appreciated.
