I am interested about any information about Mary Jane Ogletree. My grandmother said her grandmother was Mary Jane Ogletree married to John W. McGowan. The first time i am aware of them is the 1850 Union County, Arkansas, Census.

Mary Jane was married to my gggrandfather - John William McGowen. MJO b 1828 (GA) - d 1880 m 9/14/1848 (McGowen). John William is our brick wall b 1822 d 1886.
