Yep mums mothers my lot were from Essex but came out to Australia after the 1st World War. Many relatives are still in Essex England.

son Walter Passfield m Emily Chalcraft 1910's
migrated to West Australia 1920's with 3 young children in tow, William, Alfred, and Emily (my nanna) all now deceased.

Did any of the names in my query ring a bell with you? Do you have parents/grandparents for your Ernest? Are there other's in your Essex relatives doing genealogy? I would like to pursue your leads more if you have more on them farther back beyond Ernest.

Thank you for your response.

I have very little information on the family relatives in England other than anecdotal info from my nanna before she died and some vague information from my aunt. sorry.
However when more comes to hand I'll post it here.

Regards
Peter
