I would be interested in speaking to anyone that has found a census record or documentation (other than land patents) that would support the Pickle family living in Monroe Co., MS or western Alabama during the 1860's
According to the land holdings, I suspect that there are several Pickle households in the eastern district of Monroe County during this time but I have found only one entry on the 1860 census for a "George Pickel".
I would also be interested in communicating with anyone that has documentation to support the death of Jacob Pickle b. 1766 in another location besides Monroe County. He and his wife (both in their mid-80's) are found living in Monroe County, MS on the 1850 census.
I am currently documenting the following generations:
1. Jacob Pickle b 1766 NC wife: Catherine Berry
2. Henry Pickle b 1807 NC wife: Lavina Ray
3. Henry Pickle b 1837 MS or AL wife: Roda Elizabeth Ray
4. Elvira Catherine Pickle b 1859 AL husb: Andrew J Nichols
Many thanks in advance...
