LIBERTY. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West
LIBERTY.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to
Iowa City Hospice.
Mrs. Reynolds was born March 1, 1912, in rural Linn County near Marion,
Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Secrist Beach.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1930.
She married Carl
Reynolds on January 20, 1943, near Marion. They farmed the early years of married life and moved to West
LIBERTY in 1955 so Carl could start work at the new Walnut Grove 4X4 Plant. Carl died in 1974.
Esther worked as a nurse’s aide at Hawker Nursing Home several years before retiring in 1974.
She is survived by son, Gary
Reynolds and wife, Chris, of Frytown; grandchildren, Matt
Reynolds and wife, Gina, of Cedar Rapids and Amanda
Reynolds of Naperville, Illinois; great-granddaughter, Kyra, and great-grandson, Jacob, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and infant daughter.

Mrs. Reynolds was born on June 26, 1927, in Muscatine, the daughter of George W. and Martha P. (Kallenberger)
Terrill. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Clyde O. Reynolds in Muscatine.
She and her husband farmed on the Muscatine Island. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing piano and organ music and playing cards.
She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Jim 'JR' (Linda)

Carol was born on December 26, 1938, in
Iowa City, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Barton
Evans. She married Donald Lyle
Reynolds in 1960, in Muscatine.
Carol at one time worked for Heinz. She also worked at the Lutheran
Homes, Muscatine Care Center, and We Care where she cared for the elderly.
She was a life member of the Glad Tidings Church. Carol loved nature, animals and taking care of lost souls.

Arthur was born on March 16, 1928, in Muscatine, the son of Albert and Jenny Holiday
Reynolds. He married Louise Lorriane
Fifield in Muscatine. They later divorced. He later married Mary Brown in 1986. She preceded him in death in 2007.
He served in the Korean Conflict.
Arthur enjoyed fishing, hunting and growing flowers. He was a member of Eagles, VFW and DVFW.
Survivors include four sons; five daughters; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary

Reynolds. She worked as a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She will be deeply missed by several step-children and several step-grandchildren; one brother, David E. (Mary Ann) of Muscatine; two sisters, Sandra L. (Larry) of Haines City, Fla., and Sharon K. Chapman of Davenport; and one sister-in-law, June (Lester) Chandler of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold E. Brown.

He was a member of the Walnut Park Baptist Church and the American Legion.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Reynolds was born February 17, 1927, in Muscatine, the son of Robert M. and Ruth Gibbs
Reynolds. He married Roma F. Connor on August 19, 1950 in Des Moines.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #388, VFW Post 1565, and the American Legion Post 27.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany.
He worked for Manjoine Distributing and then Scott Distributing. He later drove the van for Lutheran
Homes.
He loved hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. He was an avid Chicago Cub and Chicago Bear fan.

Mr. Reynolds was born Oct. 21, 1906, in Drury Township, Ill., the son of Ed 'Casey' and Lucy Watson
Reynolds. He married Erma L. Trible Wilson Sept. 13, 1959, in Muscatine.
He served his country during World War II from August 1942 until November 1945. He was involved in four major battles, the Ardennes, Northern France, Rhineland and the Battle of the Bulge. He received four Bronze Stars during his time of service.
He was a lifelong resident of the Muscatine area and served as assistant pastor of the Glad Tidings Church since 1972 until retirement. He was a great reader, an avid history buff and enjoyed sports of any type, especially baseball.
He will be dearly missed by his five step-daughters, Janet Askam of Muscatine, Wilma Heuer and her husband, Kenneth, of Muscatine, Dolores Stover and her husband, Archie, of Durant, Carlene Morrison and her husband, Charles, of Letts, and Anna Mae Schmelzer and her husband, Howard, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one sister, Monna Smith of Muscatine; 17 step-grandchildren, 44 step great-grandchildren and 10 step great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, and two brothers.

She was a member of Eagles and enjoyed babysitting and making birthday cakes and wedding cakes. Her greatest joy was getting together with family. She was the assistant manager at Econofoods.

David was born on September 25, 1957, in Muscatine, the son of Cecil R. and Donna Joyce Brady
Reynolds. He married Elizabeth McBride, and they later divorced.
He was a maintenance worker at the Riverside Casino. He also had worked on oil rigs in Wyoming and at the
Columbus Lumber Yard and with Rueckert and Sons.
He enjoyed Coffee Club in the mornings, working on race cars, going to the races and bowling for many years.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Sandra
