Helen O. Roman
Helen O. Roman, formerly of
Mayfield, died Sunday at VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Joseph J. Roman Sr., who died in 1986.
Born in
Simpson, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Ignatovich Turpack, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church,
Mayfield. She was a retired floorlady at
Isabell Dress Factory,
Mayfield, where she worked for more than 25 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy "Dottie" Rose, Oklahoma; and Geri
Flynn, Jermyn; two sons, Anthony
Roman, Washington; and Joseph Jr., Oklahoma; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine DiCeasare, New York; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Josette, and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Ry- czak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna
Ave., Mayfield, with Mass at 10 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. John Kulavich, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery.
