My grandfather's names was Alfredo Rosario Rivera they were from Cidra Puerto Rico which is about 10 miles from Caguas, I was actually born in Caguas myself. The name Toribio sound familiar as beiing a cousin or second cousin or something of my father.

My name is Juan Anibal Rosario, I live in El Paso, Texas. I see your post from back in the year 2000, but i recently joined in. As a child I lived in Rio Piedras, PR, and new a Rosario Cruz family from Ciales. The were Jose Luis Rosario Cruz, Jesus Rosario Cruz, Radames Rosario Cruz, and their parents cannot remember their names. Jose Luis Rosario is the owner of 3 businesses in the Plaza Del Mercado in Caguas Puerto Rico, it is a butcher shop, Jesus was a cop after he returned from Vietnam,they are white, fair skin, blondish kind of haoir and green eyes.

My name is Amara Enid Ortiz Montalvo. My mother Iris Montalvo Gonzalez is from Utuado, PR; but has lived most of her life in Cantera, a suburb in Santurce, near Barrio Obrero. Yesterday I was doing a search for my half brother's father. My brother's name is Udeth Rosario Montalvo, DOB 11-4-55, and my brother's father name is Udeth Rosario Garcia. When I googled his name the first item that came up was your email to Hector Rosario. I was in shock to see another person with exactly my first and middle name. I didn't know how to react to this, other than it has to be a really big coincidense. Please can you shed some light to this. I will really apreciate your help in locating my brother's father. Thanks in advanced.

Hi I am family to Melendez Rosario belardo could you tell me more about your families trails. From my search i see that on my Belardo surname we were in the island before coming from Itiy, and then we were in P.R. and by the 1940's around WW2 our roots i know of let to NY. BX, BK, Matt., I would like to see if you have any info that may lead me to my family. My Great grandma is Joaquina melendez Rosaio maried Belardo, and her children I know of are Lula/Luz melendez belardo who lived in BX, and BK, Matt., and Luis Velardo/Belardo melendez abt. 1927, and Arcadia "cayita" Belardo Melendez abt. 1923, I know they may have been other's but I meet these three, and my great uncle Luis abt. 1927 he died around 2000's and his son too that I did meet. So I ask my mother one day where are all the family? she told me what she knew and i was so upset to see that we were sepated for so long. I started looking for Luis abt. 1927, children I found the son his name was Angelo velardo died in Fl, But I never knew he had son alive and well, so I tracked them down too.
and Luis had a Daughter Evelyn she is well to with two
children aswell. So please let me know I have bee on a stand still for my family. Sad right!

Hello I don't know "Yet" where my great's were born. I have this so far Joaquina Melendez Rosaio abt. 1895, /married to Santiago Belardo abt. 1890, and his father same name abt. 1858. I did find my family in P.R. but I am looking for the living family I would love to see how we all look now. Ny grandma Joaquina Melendez Rosario/Belardo she had these children that i know of: Luis Velardo/Belardo abt. 1927, and Luz/Lula Belardo Melendez abt. 1919, and my grandma Arcadia "Cayita" Belardo Melendez she married Cruz, gonzalez, ortiz. let me knwo it would be great to find melendez roots i have been able to find the belardo family in P.R. but the melendez it seems we were really everywhere. i was reading your post about juan rosario. i am still looking for the full names of my great grand parents too. but it sounds possible that your great grand parents may have the same names. one of their off spring was named maria merceded rosario. she had 1 brother and 4 sisters. Pedro, catine, julia, elba and ida. she also has a son by the name of Roberto Rosario Pagan. Pagan being his stepfathers name.

just found out that my great grandfathers name is SENIDO Rosario. it is very and highly possible that he had many children by many women in brooklyn new york. he was known for being a womanizer. my father, his son is Roberto Rosario and his mother, my grand mother is Maria Mercedes Rosario. Hello My name is Angelica Murillo. I found my Biological father last november of 08. his name is Roberto Rosario Pagan. he too had a step father, hence pagan. His mother's name was Mercedes rosario and she had a sister by the name of elba rosario. i don't know a whole lot about where they came from but i do know that they were and are from puerto rico and moved to brooklyn ny in the 1950's. i too would like to know more about my new found roots. hopefully we can help eachother

I just wanted to know whether you had further information on the Rosa part of your family. My great grandfather from my mom's side was Felix Vazquez Rosa and was born in Cidra in 1872. I have no further information on him and anyone else from the Rosa family.

I may have some information if you are looking for who I think. My name is Juan Anhalzer Rosario and my mother is Rocio Rosario, and she was born in spain, but her father was born Close to Arecibo and his name was Johnny Rosario. He had 4 daughters, Rocio, Sandra, Zuanhiay, and Charo They are all alive and well and his spouse hereself is also alive. Rocio Now lives in florida, Charo in Honduras. Zhuaniay in mexico doing her rural for medicine school, and sandra is still in arecibo. I hope this helped.

HELLO I don't think we are related, but just wanted to share with you how your story seems to sound like my search for my Africian Tianio Ancestys. I have learned that family born in P.R. just about anywhere on the Islands were brought there for i guess good reasons. Yet the Natives were the already as were other's before them. OK Slavery was REAL, and our great grandparents were in that mix!!!!

They all tried so hard to stay into they on culture I call it. My Great grandmother did many of thing that today aren't visabial. I was just entering jr high school when she passed. She was born 1896, she was the darkest person i can say i ever really knew. I love her so much, her smell, her cooking, and pretty face. While know were are all in this together, I can't wait to see all our photo's of our loved ones for whom we are here, when you ever go to a GOV. office look at the photos of the history, this is how the world was built, and gods children mix with all because we are only ones under the SON.

wow you have alot of the same surnames in my family. ramos rodriguez badillo ortiz chacon lopez perez. I can't see how where not related by at least one of those last names, especially being from the same area of Puerto Rico. I'm going to ask my Mom and Uncles about some of our family in Martinica and when I get that Info I'll get back to you. I wouldn't doubt that we are related though. I currently am living in Martinica in Maleza Alta. I moved here last year. My grandfather and his father and family originally was from the farm field that was taken by the American soldiers in 1939. Though the area is right and the names sounds somewhat familiar I'm afraid I would need more information from you.

I show a Isidro Rosario which happens to be my grandfather's older brother. He had married 3 times and had children with all three. I really don't know much about my family back then, I know my grandmother was from maleza alta and her name was susana "chana" (leyda or leiba) Rosario and her mother was patricia rosario badillo her father was Isidoro (Leyda or Leiba). I know my father Pedro Ramos was born and raised in San Antonio and he has family in Martinica right next to the base. If any of this sounds familiar to you let me know.

My family does come from Maleza Alta and has all of those surnames you mentioned. We once had a lot of land where the base is now located. My family was driven out of their home and land by the American soldiers and the women folks were afraid of being raped by the workers taking over the land. This was back in the year 1939. That land belonged to my great grandfather, Julio Rosario as well as my grandfather, Juan Rosario. My grandfather had an older brother named Isidro.
