I am looking for information about the father of a John Carpenter Simpson, born June 25th 1827 in Greenup Kentucky. died January 8 1919 in Athens County Ohio. I have both his death certification** and his obituary but I cannot find who his father is.. as the death certification doesnt clearly state this. I am also looking for information on an Elizabeth Lambert, Johns wife, she was born in West virgina around November of 1826 and died April 18 1904 in Kentucky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

**Death certification states his father as being a "Chas Elaxander Simpson"...and seems to be an error of the transcriber. I originally had this Simpson line going back to William Simpson and his brothers from Anterim Ireland..but now I am unsure.
