Looking for any info on ggrandmother Mittie (Mettie) Smith,
gggrandmother Martha M. Smith and gggrandfather Samuel Smith.
I believe they were from the Oklahoma, Arizona or Arkansas area.

I have a great grandmother named Martha Smith(Mattie)She married my great grandfather Joseph Funk in 1892. I think she may have been married before to a Smith, because her father is listed as a Matt Beil and they are from Ogdon Utha.

I don't think our Smith's are related based on the names you mentioned.
All of our bloodline came from Oklahoma and Arizona. To my knowledge,

I don't think our Mittie is the person you're looking for. Our Mittie Smith was my paternal ggrandmother. All I know about her is that she was born on April 25, 1881 and was married to Thaddeus Jim Walker (date and place unknown). Mittie's father was Samuel Smith and her mother was Martha M. Smith. I cannot confirm the correct spelling of Mittie's name since it was Mittie in one family bible and Mettie in another. I suspect that Mittie was a nick name and that she was actually named after her mother, Martha. Mittie and Thaddeus had son's, one of which was Mack Thaddeus Walker (my paternal grandfather). In 1902 when Mack was born, they were living in Mountain View and Cloud Chief, OK. Beyond that I have no other info, since my father at age 79 is no longer able to recall any family details. You might want to check the Walker, Whitted, Guy and Adams family trees at Ancestry or MyFamily.com for a more complete listing of my related family members. My grandfather was James Julius Smith and his first wife was Mary E. and they had a daughter named Mittie A. She was 1 year in the 1880 census in Union, Nevada, Arkansas. I believe she had a sister and their mother died. James married
Mollie Dunn, my grandmother and they had nine children.
