Joseph Smith Family - Pittsburgh, PA

Looking for info and background on Joseph Smith (born in New Jersey in about 1872). Married Clara Pfaff in Pittsburgh in 1905. They had four children: Maurice, Marie, George, and Dorothy. I believe Joseph Smith's parents (Joseph Smith and Caroline Allgier) came from Germany, but I don't know when.

Any info would be very much appreciated. I've reached a roadblock and cannot seem to get anywhere. Thanks.

My family believes that my deceased uncle, Charles Clifford Smith, III, may have fathered a child while stationed overseas in Germany, probably in the late 50s, early 60s. Smith was born and raised in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN.

I know it is a long shot, but would very much like to exchange information with anyone who may have information on this. I am currently trying to trace his service and find out where he was stationed, and will post that information when i can.

Thank you,
Anne

I am looking for the maiden name of John Whitman Smiths wife, Racheal. They had four children. The three little boys all died in a fire in 1893 & the following Sept. Nellie Mae Smith was born. All 4 birth certificates and the marriage cert. were signed Racheal B. She either died or disappeared around the time my Grandmother Nellie was a year old. My Grandmother had a Black Nanny until around the age of 5 or 6. My Grandmother loved her dearly and when her father re-married, she was let go. They were all born in Mechanicsburg, Bland County Virginia. John later Married Mary India Dunn and had 6 children. He died in 1958. We have no other info for Racheal B. Any info would be of great help! They lived in Machicsburg Bland Virginia

SMITH, Samuel

My Great Aunt, Winifred Alice BRIDGE, married Samuel SMITH on 26 December 1932 in Greengates, Bradford, Yorkshire. They were both 47 and Samuel was a widower. He was a County Court Officer/bailiff in Leamington Spa in the 1930s.

Samuel's father, also Samuel, was recorded as deceased by then but his occupation was listed as Packer.

I have photographs of the younger Samuel in dark, frock coated uniform with a mandarin collar which is not military. There is a number on the collar like a policeman or prison officer might have and the cap badge is wrong for a policeman.

Has anyone come across this Samuel Smith? If so, any further information would be gratefully received.

Val
Re: Daniel Smith/Gabriel Smith of Bedford, NY

I believe I came across this family's cemetery plot in Bedford while on a walk through the woods near the Mianus River Gorge. The stones for Daniel and Mary (aged 36 and 20 at time of death) died in years 1825 and 1815, respectively, and some of the other stone dated back to the 1700's. Do you have more info on the family, or perhaps are you inquiring because you came across the graves as well?
