Hi Suzie, Good to hear from you.Unfortunately,I don't know the name of your grandfather Mauro Troiano but the good news is I do recall my late Aunt Lucy Troiano talking about relatives in Bristol,RI.While I don't have any actual proof my hand written notes based on previous conversations with her years ago indicate her family and therefore mine were related to a Giuseppe and Dominica Troiano. They had five children by the names of Rosita,Libera,Rafaela,Maurice and Dominic. My late aunt many years ago would go to Rhode Island with her parents,my grandparents,to visit Libera. Question; Was your father Joseph the first son of Mauro? Also,I wonder if Mauro could be the Italian version of Maurice. Did you ever hear your grandfather called Maurice? Do any of these other names mean any thing to you, especially Libera? My guess is that since our respective Troiano families came from Vieste, we probably have common ancestry back a few generations before my grandfather. I can tell you that a Libera Troiano left Naples,Italy on the same ship as my grandfathers' sister Lucia Troiano. Both lived in Vieste and while I can't prove anything by this it strikes me as a heck of a coincidence. I found this info. at Ellis Island. I'll look forward to hearing from you.........Mike Troiano
