Hi, I am new to this site. I am interested in starting a family tree, but don't really know how to go about it. I'm from southern Ohio. My Dad's name is Leroy E. Truman Sr. His Dad's name is James D. Truman, Sr., and his Dad's name is Lorenzo Dow Truman. I really don't know much more than that. I just wanted to say hello to Emily in Utah.

My mom and dad are from West Virginia. Golly Bridge and Charleston. My dad is Harold Ray Truman. His mother was Dora Bell Truman. I have a an Uncle Bill Truman. Wesley "Max" Truman, Calvin Truman. They are all my dad's Uncles. I am sure if you are from the West Virginia area or your family, then we are related. I am related to just about everyone with the Truman name in WV. Hi, I think we are related. I think your Lorenzo was prob. my great-grandfather. My grandfather was Wm. Russell, of Bickmore, who died a yr. or so ago, and my father is Charles Truman. When I saw your post, something also sounded familiar about your name "Bird"...I remember that name from my childhood when I was actually around my paternal relatives. My parents divorced around 1969-70, when I was about 4. I am interested in knowing some genealogy/relatives. thanks for any info you can give me. I think I may be related to you...My grandfather was wm.russell truman of bickmore, WVA. If I am correct, I think his father's name was Lorenzo, I have to call my dad tomorrow to make sure. His name is Charles Truman.
