I am a descendant of the Spanish
del Valle lineage via Cuba. My direct ancestor (my great-great-great-great-great grandmother ) was Barbara
del Valle y de
Rosas. Barbara
del Valle y de
Rosas arrived in
Louisiana (in New
Orleans and at Terre-aux-Boeufs, St. Bernard
Parish) around 1770 with her husband, Don Manual
Solis. The couple apparently arrived from
Santiago de Cuba with the early Spanish sent to
Louisiana to take over the colony from France.
I am interested in any additional information about the
del Valle lineage, especially in Cuba.
