Etta VANCE, b. 1869 in Iowa, daughter of Adam VANCE, b 1826 Ohio and Mary C. b 1831, Ohio. Married Sylvester MCCLINTOCK on 3 April 1890 in Winneshiek Co., IA. He was b 1865 in Winneshiek Co.,IA. son of Charles A. McClintock and Nancy Hawks. They moved to Montana and were living there in 1914. A son, Harold E. VANCE.

Came accross your message in a search. I have an Etta (b 1871) in my tree. Daughter of Adam (b 1825)and Mary Caroline. Siblings: Mary (b 1852, IN), Martin (b 1854, IA or IN), Sara Caroline (b 1857, IA or IN), John A (b 1858, IA), Ima (b 1864, female, IA), Elmer (b 1866, IA, my 2nd gr-grandfather) and Della (b 1874, IA, female). There were two other children that died that I have no information on. I imagine they were born between John A and and Ima due to the gap in years. I have conflicting information at this time from census records regarding whether the parents were born in Ohio or Indiana, I suspect Ohio

I should add that I have the parents of Adam as Martin (b 1791, PA) and Barbara (b 1792, PA). Siblings John Frederick (b 1827, OH), John Valentine (b 1830, OH) and Barbara A (b 1837, MA
