Do any of the Vance Researchers have information on a WILLIAM KIRKPATRICK Vance marrying a KEZIAH ROBERTSON, daughter of CHARLES ROBERTSON (abt 1762, VA -- after 1814, possibly TN), grand daughter of CHARLES ROBERTSON (1733, VA -- 1806, TN)?

I just located this information:

WILLIAM KIRKPATRICK Vance married KEZIAH, grand daughter of CHARLES ROBERTSON, prominent in early TN history, dau of his son, CHARLES ROBERTSON, JR.. WILLIAM was the son of HUGH Vance and the grandson of PATRICK Vance..

They had the following children:

I am seeking information regarding Hugh Vance (1807-1839) who married Rachel Blair in Washington County, TN. He is my Vance dead end.

Per census information William Kirkpatrick Vance's sons were in the same area at about the same time.

A Hugh Vance married a Sarah Law 15 Aug 1803 in Rickbridge County, VA. Do you know anything about this couple or whether they are in the same family?

Do you have any other dates for William Kirkpatrick Vance's father Hugh and grandfather Patrick. The Patrick Vance I've found died 1791 in Lexington, Rockbridge, VA. and was married to a Mary. I've thought they might be the parents to William Kirkpatrick Vance.

I'd love to hear from anyone with information regarding William Kirkpatrick Vance or Hugh Vance.

I am a descendant of William K. Vance. The following info is not based on primary sources. it is based on Muriel Spoden's genealogy of the Netherland family. She states that William K Vance (1780-1852) was a lieutenant in the Mexican War and was sheriff of Sullivan County. TN. However, she makes no mention of Hugh Vance but states
that Wm K was the son (not grandson) of Dr. Patrick Vance, Rev. War physician who was the "scalping doctor." she says that Wm. K was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia and died in Green Co., Tenn.
