Betty, thanks for posting to my message. I do not have an Ernest
Piper in my line, or a
Belle Piper. However, I certainly haven't found all the relations in the
Piper family.
I have that George
Hoffman Piper and his wife, Elizabeth Ann
Thompson Piper moved to Peoria in 1849. although George took part in the CA gold rush, he returned to
Peoria Co. where he died in 1873.
Although some of their children were born in
Missouri, George and Elizabeth returned to Chillicothe where at least the lat two of their 8 children were born. Their third child, George Morris
Piper moved to
Illinois in 1872. He made Peoria his home until his death in 1920. He is buried in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
Their daughter, Adrienne May
Piper Power is
also buried there. She was a Peoria resident for 70 years. Her husband, Lawrence Ernest Power is buried there as well.
I will keep your two names in my
Piper tidbits file, as I call it. Thank you.
