My great grandparents came from Kilwinning, moved to Glasgow in the 1890s and had my grandfather. My great grandfather was a miner, and my Mum tells me she was still in touch with the relatives there up until grandad died in the 1960s. I understand we have Gillespie relatives too, although if you're not tied into my family this will probably not mean anything to you, but if nothing else it's a way to eliminate or confirm...

Dale,
I have a standing problem that just won't be solved.
I am looking for a marriage for:
Joseph Wilson born 23 Nov. 1783, WIndham,Rockingham Co. NH. S./o George and Janet Simpson Wilson.
I know he migrated to Orange Co. Vt. by 1807-08. So, I hope I am assuming right that he married around 1802-1803 in Windham.I base that on the fact he had a daughter Mary born 1806 while the family was still in NH.
I found Joseph living in Vermont with his son John and a record of his death in 1837. His wife NANCY E. appeard in the 1850 and 1860 census of VT. (West Fairlee) with the same son, John. While Joseph's death is recorded at the local cemetery, Nancy's isn't. I thought I could find a death record for her and at least get her father's name. However the town Clerk "doesn't have the time to look for it".
To make this long story short, All I'm aftyer is the name of Nancy's parents or at least her last name.

Charles Wilson born 1850 in Norway. Seaman. Married Margaret Nicholson in 1875.

On wedding certificate he gives his father's name as Charles Wilson also.

British cencus show Charles as being born in Norway....but where in Norway?????

I don't know what the M stands for in my James M Wilson. I know he was born in Kentucky 1857,died in Texas 1941 and married Martha Mattie Swor 1884. I don't know of a Diana Wilson in the family but that does not mean she is not there....I am new at this so I may be missing something.

If I find anything else I will have it in my tree The Sanguinet Tree.

I am trying to locate my Grandmother's family her name was Azalien Wilson she married William Jones around 1902 left Valdosta, Ga and move to Knoxville,Tenn. Her husband was 20 older than she, Bernice was their first child born in Valdosta. Azalien had 4 brothers and 2 sisters...Willie Wilson,Hershall Wilson,Vilter Wilson,Heziaha Wilson,Savannah Wilson Bowen, Georgia Wilson Strickland. Georgia move to the Baltimore Maryland area and worked as a hairdresser in Washington, D.C. who at one time met my aunt Azalien Jones and was to meet and talk about the family. Someone die in the Wilson family 1970's and never got together to meet.I know my Great grandmother name was Vashti Wilson and she was married to a minister who died between 1910-1915.Please if anyone know about this family

I am a researcher for the various police memorials and I am working on a book on lawmen killed in Texas. Sheriff J.T. (Tom) WILSON was killed by Sherman policeman Samuel BALL on 23 Jan 1879 in Austin, Tx. BALL was not convicted in the killing. BALL was shot in the line of duty in Sherman on 27 Jan 1880 and died on 2 Feb 1880. I would like to have the full name, locate the date of birth of WILSON and where he is buried.

My grandfather James Garfield Wilson born to John Wilson and Mary Stowe was said to have had a brother named Joseph who left home early.

Grandpop did marry, but to my knowledge no other siblings of my mother exist.

Would love to finally bring sense to the Wilson side. The Stowe side has been having reunions for the past 40 years.

Mildred, Carrie

They all were born in Charlotte and moved to Winston Salem. From Winston Salem, Aunts Mildred and Carrie moved to Ohio. Said their other brother was up north as well.

I am looking for my grandmothers family. All I know is her name is Louise, she was born 1/9/1928 in TN. She married a J.W. Hauschen. She died 3/10/05 in Iowa. Her fathers name was Andrew and her mom was called Lou (?). They supposedly died in an accident in TN in 1938. Any help to find her family and mine is thanked.

Hi My 4g Thomas Wilson of Manfield used to sail out of Hartley port. In his children's bap certs (all born in Earsdon) he is described sometimes as Ship's master sometimes as ship owner. Do you have any background on what this latter might mean? I believe that people used take shares in ships and if the voyage was successful they would get a percentage if not, all was sometimes lost.I believe there was some relation called William.

The information that I have on Lute Wilson is very little. He was born 22 Aug. 1868, and died 16 Aug. 1947. buried in Leach Cemetery, Ohio Co. KY. I know little else about him, but I have info on parents, etc. and some siblings.

I met Cansadie when I was about twelve. I think,I have a picture of her house in Horse Branch. Her sister Viola was my ggrandmother. I know very little about her as far as names, dates, etc. She was born in 1876, and died in 1966, buried in Wilson Cemetery with her husbands. I believe that she was married to two brothers named Ferris. Dad said that when she was young, she broke her back and since then, she was always stooped over. I have some information on the rest of the family, parents, etc. some pictures of siblings. Would love to exchange info.

What would you like to know?? Daniel Thornberry Wilson was born in Ohio Co. KY 25 Feb. 1841, he married Sarah Elizabeth Arnold July 4, 1865, Ohio Co. KY. he died 2 June 1924 in Ohio Co. KY and was buried in the Wilson Family Cemetery, Horse Branch, Ohio Co. KY. I have a pictures of him and Sarah, some of the children, dates, etc.

Jeanita, I am intriqued...My Dan T. Wilson was from Horse Branch Ky, a big land owner, once worked for the Rail Road, was blind, He had a daughter named Susan Pricy Wilson, married George W. Ford.....if she was your father-in-law's mother, he was a brave man indeed...family lore says she was a witch. Are these the same Dan Wilson? My Dan was born 25 Feb. 1841 in Ohio Co. Susana Rutha SMITH, born 30 April 1840 in KY, TN or TX;Daughter of John SMITH

Rutha, as she was called all of her adult life, is my Ggramma.
She is found on the 1860 Lavaca County, TX Census as Susan SMITH living with with James T and Malona (HALL) WILSON.
In the July 1858 Lavaca County Court of Estates, James T WILSON is appointed as guardian of "Susana Rutha SMITH, daughter of John SMITH and wife, deceased".
I believe John SMITH's wife is the sister of Malona(HALL) WILSON.
Malona HALL is the daughter of Berriman and Margaret HALL.
Berriman and Margaret appear on the 1830 Greene County and 1840 Sumpter County, AL.
It is likely that this is the same piece of property. In 1830, The Choctaw ceded this area to the USA in the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek. The HALL's lived here before this treaty was signed.
On these two census, there are two daughters that are about Malona's age.
I have been unable to find this HALL daughter on any 1850 census.
Rutha married Elijah Thomas WILSON, Malona and James nephew after he returned as a disabled CSA veteran. They were probably married in 1867 at the Salam Baptist Church In Lavaca County.
They are the owners of property adjacent to Malona on the 1870 Lavaca County census. They sold this property and bought another parcel from Elijah's father William WILSON in the 1880's but I have not found them on any 1880 census.
Any help finding this "John SMITH and wife" would help me break throught my family brick wall.

Looking for my grandfather Maceo Wilson from Weleetka, OK

My father's name is Leon Wilson from Carlisle, SC. His father Maceo Wilson left him and his sister Betty when they were young. My father Leon was born in 1945. The only document we have from Maceo is his marriage certificate to my grandmother Beatrice Jeter. On the certificate it says Maceo Wilson was born in Weleetka, OK and his father's name was Jim Albert Wilson. Maceo's mother was named Elizabeth Reece. It also stated that Maceo Wilson lived in Kansas City, KS for a while. The last we know is that Maceo Wilson was in the US Navy as a cook and served during WWII. I can't find anything on him and my father said he heard that his father died in the 1960s in Oklahoma. We don't know how true that is but any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for Burl Wilson, born about 1911 in Missouri to William T Wilson of KY and Luda (Poole) Wilson of MO. According to 1920 Census they lived in Mississippi County MO. Two sisters named Leola and Pauletta. 1930 Census showed Leola living in a girl's home in Chillicothe, MO. He married Pearl Fowler of New Madrid, MO in 1934 and had one daughter, Betty. Looking for info on his death. It was told that he often hitched rides on trains and may have died by being hit by one.
