This message is for anyone with information about the
branch of the North American Lynott family
that began with Michael Lynott, a County Mayo,
Ireland immigrant to Ottawa, Canada in 1798.
I am one of his descendents, and am searching
for information about our family's present-day
relatives in Ireland. Michael was descended by a
first-born son Ulick. His first son was Bernard, whose
first son was George. George's eldest son was
George, Jr., my grandfather. Please contact
me with any information at: douglyn50@hotmail.com

Hope this helps

My grandfather, was
Robert Edward Lynott. His dad was Francis "Frank" Patrick Lynott. His dad
was John Gordon Lynott, and his dad was Alexander Lynott. John Gordon Lynott
was born in 1855 and died in 1936. Alexander was born in 1798 and died in
1886. Hope this helps with your research.

Brian,

Thanks for responding to my note, it's good to
hear from another Lynott out there. I'd like
to get in touch with you and talk more about
your family history, see if there are any
linkages. Can you e-mail me at douglyn50@hotmail.com?
I hope to hear from you.

My gradfather was Michael John Lynott from Mayo. This I don't think is the same person because I beleive my gradfather came straight to New York City. He married and had 3 children in nyc. Mary,John, and Donald Joseph (my fahter). I was born in 1965 and I bleive that my gradfather passed away in the early 50"s.
