George Phillip and his brother Michael 1732 on the Ship Pleasant - My line is G. Phillip's son Philip, his son Henry, his son Henry, his son John, his son R. B., his son William Francis and his daughter Joyce Snodderly Woodruff. Union and Anderson County Tennessee.

I think my line is from Phillip's son John's son Jacob's son Alfred Smith. Name also spelled Snodderley.

Hello Lynn,I've developed an interest in my family history and it looks like we have a connection. My Mother is Alma Joan(pronounced Jo Ann)(Snodderly)Gibson. She was born and raised in Union county,Tn. Her Fathers name was also William. He died in '52. It sounds like he may have been the son or grandson of the William you were referring to.My grandfather, William had 6 children. Their names in age and location order are: (1)Edith (Snodderly)Burkhalter,Lenoir City,Tn.(2)Effort Snodderly,Lenoir City Tn.(3)John Ralph Snodderly of Lenoir City(deceased)(4)Orphia(Snodderly)Hickey,Whitwell,Tn.in Marion County about 30 mls. west of Chattanooga.(5)My mother, Alma Joan (Snodderly)Gibson,1169 Hwy 19 south,Meridian,Ms.39301(6)George Snodderly of Lenoir City(deceased).

Your grandfather William may have been the son of Daniel / son of Old Henry. Oh, we are all cousins believe me. This is such an interesting family. I will do more looking through my records and find out what I have that may help you.

My line is also on the John Snodderly,Henry married to Mary ?,Daniel,and then Harvey around 1869. Would like to find last name to Mary and then more about Harvey Born to Daniel and Malinda Robbins.

My father's family is from the East Tennessee region. I am interested in finding out more information about them as I have very little knowledge of them now. Do you have any more information on the Hickey side of Ms. Orphia's family??
