She married Carlo Nasca b.11 May 1855 Montemaggiore Belsito, Palermo, Sicily d. __?__.

They had three children that I know of Angeline (my grandmother), Francesca, and Calogero.

Any information and or documtents to verify this family history so far would be greatly appreciated. I did get the death cert for Angela but doesn't say much... no family or anything...

I have Nasca's from Montemaggiore Belsito also. Not sure if they are related or not. Vincenzo Nasca married Ida Rizzo and three of their children immigrated to Buffalo, NY. Giacomo 'Jacob' Nasca b. 1882 d. 1966; Atonina 'Lena' Nasca b. 1891 d. 1962 and Anna Nasca b. 1893. Do these names mean anything to you?

I'm kind of late to this query, but my Grandmother was Josephine Margavio Lefevre. She was born around 1908 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her father was Giovanni (John) Margavio and her mother was Margaret "Maggie" Sclafani. I believe that Giovanni Margavio came to the U.S. in 1891 from Montemaggiore Belsito, Sicily. He had a set of children with a first wife with the last name Anselmo. But his first wife (Anselmo) died. He subsequently married Margaret Sclafani, and sadly, she died as well in 1914, not long after her last child was born. He remained widowed after that until his death in 1945 or so. All of his generation were from Sicily, and most likely from Montemaggiore Belsito as well. He emigrated with a brother named Giuseppe (Joseph) Margavio. Anselmos lived next door to them in New Orleans. Sclafanis as well.
