DBlocher, sorry no one has answered you in over 2 months!
Oh my, I'm trying to remember what FOv10 was like compared to RM.
Four of my favorite RM features are:
RM allows more flexibility in fact sentence structure - in fact, you can customize the sentence structure on an individual basis. For example, 3 individuals with the same fact type can have 3 different fact sentence structures.
Creation of 'shareable CDs'. These are exact copies of your database (read-only) on an auto-run CD with a mini-version of RM you can give to other people. It will include all photos and documentation as well as the data. I have lost track of how many of these I have made but would guess between 60 and 75.
Sharing facts. This capability allows you to add a fact (for example, for the 1880 census) to the primary individual (i.e. the head of household) and share it with other individuals (i.e. the others enumerated in that household).
Publisher. This allows you to create a "book" with multiple RootsMagic standard reports, charts, etc. as well as these pages:
Cover Page
Title Page
Copyright Page
Dedication
Acknowledgement
Preface
Table of Contents
Scrapbook pages (photos)
Text pages (text you type that is not otherwise in your database)
Blank pages (one use is as separators)
Hope this helps!
