I am the gggg granddaughter of William and Christiana Orchard Dixon through the line of their fourth child John or Johann Dixon b. Dec. 23,1762 and d. March 1832. He was born at Friedberg. He married Anna Catharina Willard in 1802. Our records show that he left Salem for Penn. and did not return until 1785. His other siblings are Christina Dixon, Elisabeth Dixon, and Joseph Dixon. My name is Angela Dixon and I live in Dalton, GA. I was told that we are the Moravian Dixons, but I can't find the proof. The furthest I can trace back is Alfred Dixon, married to Elisabeth Dixon. Alfred Dixon's approx. birth year would be 1801, but the 1850 Bradley County Tennesse census is the ONLY record I can find him listed on. Alfred Dixon is said to have been born in North Carolina. How can I find out who Alfred Dixon's father was. I need help. I don't know where Alfred is buried or what year he died either. I appreciate any help I can get, so please send me an email rather than post on the message board if you will.

i'm from michigan but most of my family are from nc and va. onzie married my great grand mother cordie bell graves at the age of 22. she was 16. this is in the 1920 va census i think pittslvania or huntsville county. they had my grand father william henry lovelace who ran away from home at the age of 10 so i can't find him on the 1920 or 1930 census. onzie left my grand father when he was about 5 years old. this would be about 1924 or 1925. any help? i sure need it.
