My name is Janet Etheredge--my maiden name is Ross. My grandparents were Albert & Bertha Mae Ross. My grandmother's maiden name was Adams. They lived in Evergreen. My father was Gehue (Pete) Ross. I have Hugh L. Ross b.1795 SC and his wife Sarah b. 1800 SC in my bloodline. His father and mother John and Martha Ross are in the 1850 Monroe Co. Census also.
John Ross b.1827 and Martha Griffin b.1829 is my branch.
Have you found where The elder John Ross b.1773 Ohio and his wife Martha b.1779 Ohio were born yet?

Yes, my family is from Beatrice AL...as a matter of fact I was born there in 1959. I haven't been there since my grandfather died about 5yrs ago.
