I am so pleased to get your reply - My Hugh Cunningham was born in 1741 in Paxtang ( now in Harrisburg). I believe that he was an only child as when I have followed his progress there never seems to be any siblings. He was married to Agnes tucker in Paxtang church. they named their 1st child Samuel, and my ancestor James, the 2nd son. there was a samuel residing in Paxtangas early as 1712 - presumably the immigrant. there was a widow cunningham on the tax rolls there (date escapes me but early in 1750's - was she Hugh's mother?I am anxious to hear from you and to find what you know about the various Samuels. Also, AgnesTucker Cunningham's father was also named Samuel ! My family ended up in W.Va. early. am anxious to hear from you! Cordially, Betty Cunningham Hamner

Happy to get your message and I am very anxious to hear from you. My Hugh Cunningham was b. in Paxtang, now part of harrisburg, Pa. in 1741. I believe his father to be a Samuel Cunningham, early immigrant to Paxtang abt. 1715. ON the other hand, Hugh Cunningham and his wife who were m. in the Paxtang Pres. ch. named their 1st son Samuel - her father was SamuelTtucker!I have never found any siblings of Hugh and think that he was an only child whose father died young. there was a "widow Cunningham " on the tax rolls fairly early. Hugh and agnes C. named their 2nd son James, my ancestor. Hugh was in the rev. and afterward, oved his family down into Berkeley co., W) Va. where my James m. Margaret Winning, dau. of James W. I hope to hear from yousoon if you think that you have any data. where do you live? I am in San Antonio, Texas
