Hello,
The porr family name appears in a number of baptismal records for my Gable family. These records are in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, Pa. during the early 1800's. Examples are, Wilhelm Porr, Susanna Porr.
Would anyone with information on this family, please e-mail me at your convenience.

Thank you,
Tom St. Aubin

This Porr family is mine. I recall the name Gable from records I saw at the Trinity Church in Reading some years ago. I don't have any Gables in my computer data, but will check notes I took at that time, pre-computer.

Hi Tracy,
Great to hear from you! I did recieve an e-mail with an attachment from you, but was unable to open the attachment. If you are able to send the attachment material another way, I would be most appreciative. I would also be willing to share whatever I may have that you would be intersted in.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Tom

Since this isn't a very common name, I wondered whether you might know any relatives in the schwenksville, Pa area who would have owned the Perkiomen Hotel at the turn of the century. We think Walter Porr is my great grandfather and his son, John Frederick Porr is my mother's father- who died in Rahway, NJ in 1980s? He married Dorothy Simons and a year later had a daughter, then divorced. Thanks for any info.
