I have some information on the Barnes. Brooks Wakefield Barnes was my grandmothers grand daddy.

I'd be interested in any info you have on this family. I believe Brooks' father William may be the brother of my GGGrandfather, Thomas W. Barnes, born 1820 in Williamsport, Maury County. Thanks, Scott

Does anyone know where the name Wakefield (as in Brooks Wakefield Barnes) originated? Brooks was his mother’s maiden name. Could the name Wakefield be another family last name? If so, who?

I have no siblings for William Charles Barnes at this time.
