I am looking for any connection to the Barnas of Radocyna. My great grandmother, Eva Barna was born there c. 1850. Her parents were Francis(?)Barna and Theodorice Rozdielski. Eva Barna married Maximillian Katrenich and their children are Harry, Sam, Tilly, and Anastasia. Harry died in 1947, Sam Anasastia lived in NY, OH, and IL, and Tilly married a McCormick in NY.

Some of the Barnas of NJ are from this village, which was "depopulated" in Operation Vistula in 1947. Some Barna relatives were resettled to Lvov (Lviv), Ukraine.

My deceased step mother in law was a Mary Barna who came from the Galicia area. As did my father in law,
Theodore Hulick and his first wife Alexsandra Solomon. They came from near Lvov and their families that stayed in
Europe were part of the depopulation movement after WWII.
Mary Barna married a Phillips and lived in N.J. until marrying my father in law in the early
1970's and moving to Janesville, WI. where his family lived.
Both are now also deceased. They found out they actually were second cousins.
Hope some of this is pertinent. Joan

You might check the surname of Phillips, I know it is a common one but
Mary Barna Phillips was the step mother in law in my previous message and I believe they did live in Pasaic N.J.
I also seem to recall he was a police officer.

She had a grandson nicknamed 'Stoney' as in T.V. commentator whom we have no idea if he was related to her.
Mary was deceased before we could try to make that connection.

Surnames: Barnas, Rogowski, Kwarter
Is there any chance that you might be related to the BARNAS Family of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin?

I am interested in contacting the Family of Stanley BARNAS
March 28, 1898- End of June 1984? He was survived by his wife Lottie (nee ROGOWSKI) and a sister named Mary
KWARTER of Poland.

Would you know if the Phillips that married Mary Barna was also from Galicia? I'm looking for my grandfather's family(Peter) from Galicia.
