I am looking for info on Ellen Peyton.

Prince William County, VA Deed Book B, pp 492-493. Lease between Howson Hooe of Stafford County and Robert Taylor of Prince William County. Witnesses: Peyton Buckner and Ellen Peyton. 2 January 1734/1735

I am descended from Peyton Buckner and believe his mother may have been a Peyton.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is Ellen, Eleanor daughter of Valentine Peyton?

The following transaction for 5 shillings seems a bit cheap and implies some type of close relationship. Could it be that Peyton Buckner's mother was a sister of Valentine Peyton? Does anyone have additional information on Valentine's siblings?

1744, 20 Jun: Peyton BUCKNER sold to Valentine PEYTON, for 5 shillings, land on north side of Goose Creek in Truro Parish, Fairfax Co., VA, being land granted Peyton BUCKNER 17 Jun 1741 for 597 acres

Thanks

According to "The Peytons of Virginia II (2004), only one sibling of Valentine Peyton is known: John Peyton b. 1691 VA and died 1760, bur. "Stony Hill", Stafford Co., VA. Valentine married Francews Ann Linton; their 1st child was Eleanor Peyton born abt 1720 nr. Stony Hill. According to an Ancestry.com tree, Peyton Buckner was born 1713 Stafford, Stafford, VA to Robert Buckner and Lady Robert Buckner. The Ancestry tree cites "The Buckners of Virginia and the allied families of Strother and Ashby."

Harold,

I have seen all the trees on Ancestry.com.

All the information connecting Peyton Buckner to Robert Buckner is NOT from The Buckners of Virginia, but from the Buckner Volumes by Jimmy White.

The Buckner Volumes are a huge work of fiction in many aspects. There are very little, if any, proofs or documentation cited in the volumes.

Peyton Buckner did witness a deed with Ellen Peyton in in 1734/5. Peyton's descendants had connections to the Powells and Lintons in Loudoun County, VA in the mid to late 1700s.
