Hi,
I am a direct ancestor of Samuel and Anna (Cramp) Meck! He was my ggg-grandfather, and I have visited the gravesite at Huff's Church.

I have been 'stuck' on Samuel (as far as parents, siblings, birth country, etc) for a very long time. I did recently find out that he was in fact, Irish, which had long been a rumor in our family.

I will hopefully be receiving more info about him from another Meck researcher, and I am very excited! I finally know that I've got some Irish blood in me!

If you have any info about Samuel, I would greatly appreciate it!

Sincerely,
Cathy

Looking on information on Harriet Meck who appears in the 1860 and 1870 census with Samuel and Anna, we suspect that she could be the wife of John Keyser / Keiser / Kaser, if so they are the parents of Augustus Kaser, who along with his family and in-laws (Landes) ended up in Indiana in the mid 1860s.

We do have a marriage record for John and Harriet, but don't know what happened to John.

Thanks in advance
