Yes, Kim, we would like to exchange info as my wife is a descendant of John Maney and their son Martin, we have a bit of info . Also after or sometime in Jan we have a friend in NC who is waiting for a library to reopen from remodling to get more on the Maney fam. We can be contacted at our E-mail address. MKAYCDF@prodigy.net, we live in Fresno,Ca and will share all that we have and will forward what we get from NC as soon as we get it as well. We know that John's father Martin Maney was from Ireland but have not got any info as to what part of Ireland. Have queries in N. Ireland and the Irish Republic as well. Hi, My name is also Kim. I am hopeing that you may beable to
help me. I am looking for info. on my Great Great Grandfather "Joe" Maney.
I really don't have much to go on. He was married to a Marcinia Davis. I think
her nickname was Sandy. One of their childrens
names was Ida Mae Maney who was my great GrandMother. They were believed to be from the NC
area but I am not sure where, maybe the Big Ivy area but not sure. Ida married William harvey Banks.
I am also looking for info. on a Lilly Youtokie, nicknamed Tokie. Anything you may have
on this family would be great. Thanks for your time, sincerely Kim Knapp

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I have run across
that Ida befre to. I have run arcross info. that leads
me to believe that Joe Maneys first name may not have been Joe
it could have been his middle name.My cousin and I came across
what we think might be his wifes death certificate
and it says in one part his name was M.J. and in one part that it was
M. Joe
Also do you have the problem of finding the name spelled so many different wasy?
I find it spelled Maney, and some times Manor. It can get really confusing. Thanks for you
help, sincerely,Kim

Hi! I happened upon this site through a friend and saw the Keziah/Martin Maney posts. I am a descendant of them also through William Porter Alexander Maney. I researched Martin Maney as a project several years ago, and if I can locate the info, I'd be happy to share it with you. As for Keziah Vann, a little bit can be found out about her through a place in Ga called SPRINGPLACE, it's her father/uncle(not sure of the relation)mansion, and is a historical site. I can also ask my Grandfather more about her and Martin...he knows quite a bit! Good Luck!
