I'm just starting.
My father was Joseph Monceba Rodrigues, grandfather was William Rodrigues who was married to Minnie Lopes. My grandfather had been an engineer (train) on a pineapple plantation (Lahaina Town ?). My aunts were/are: Mary, Matilda, Emily, Eva, Sarah,Louise(?)and .Anyone familiar with this family?

I am searching for siblings from a different father than mine. The father's name is Ezekial Rodrigues. His children (with my mother) are Larry, Ronald, and Christine. From the info that I have, the children were all born in the late 40's or 50's. Any info would be of great help.

Tracy,
My fathers name was Joseph, but my mothers name is Ellen. My dad was born 1920. So it is unlikely he is the GGG grandfather you mention. Sorry.

Good luck looking.

Wayne,
Try going back a little further. The Joseph Monceba Rodriques I am referring to was born in 1852 (maybe your father's namesake?)his wife(1st) was Amelia Furtado, who came to Hawaii from the Azores. Who were William's parents?

My great great grandmother was Felicita Ortis Rodrigues, died at 114 years old in 1955? Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, went to HI in 1921. Active at St. Francis Church until her death. One of her grandaughters was my grandmother (maternal side) Rose Rodrigues. Other grandchildren were Candida, August, Antonio and Pablo and Mary Santos. Betty Morales was at the time the youngest great-great grandchild at that time. Don't know if we are of the same clan

Tracy,
Just happened to check the message board and saw your note.

Good point. I'll check again on further. It actually sounds like it might be a fit.

Actually after thinking about it Furtado is a familiar name for that reason.

Well, hello cousin Wayne!!

I am Drina Yoder, granddaughter of Mary Joseph Rodrigues Pablin, sister to your grandfather William (my mother called him Uncle Willie). I've been working on this family's genealogy for years. Are you acquainted with your father's brother, Joseph Manceba Rodrigues, who last time I heard was alive and living in Hawaii?

My cousins asked me to put together some of the genealogy I have done and I got this wild idea that I would like to do it on the internet. If you are interested in seeing it, contact me and I will gladly give you the address.

I noticed cousin Tracy's note to you. Willie's and Mary's father WAS Joseph Monsebo Rodrigues and their mother was Amelia Furtado. I haven't been able to do much tracing of Joseph's family. He left little information. Amelia's family, however, has been a different story. I discovered they came from Sao Miguel in the Azores and was able to locate the Church records. What I have found is on the website.

Hope to hear from you soon...
