I am searching for information about my Grandmother's Family. Her name was Margaret Lorena Devall. I know of a sister named Mamie. From stories passed down through my Father, Aunts and Uncles I have heard of a place called Devall's Landing. A place of which I can find no information on. I assume it would be on their farm but I have no firm information. One story is that there was a battle involving my ancestor's farm during which fighting was halted long enough to bury a Mason. If anyone can give me some further information about my ancestors please email me or post here.

Thanks,

In some lines I have 5 generations, but I do not have Richard Thomas or Mary Emailine. Can you go back a generation or two further? I'm happy to share info.

There is a place in Arkansa called DeVall's Bluff where Jacob Maclin DeVall settled abt 1848. I was not able to tell if you were speaking abt LA, MS or Arkansas. There is plenty of info abt Richard DeVall in La.
