Looking for information about Marion Sayle Taylor. Believed to be high school instructor in Anacortes, Washington about 1910. Are there yearbooks for schools? Is the Anacortes American newspaper on microfilm? Thank you in advance.

When you post, it's important to provide enough information on the person you seek to help a researcher. In this case, perhaps all you knew was the name and potential of teaching in Anacortes. But, if you know their date of birth, or approximate, where they were born, parents, spouse, siblings, children, anything that might help locate them. Even, as in this search, was your person male or female? This suggestion is for your basic genealogy posting, even when the person might be famous...since there are people like me that don't know one famous person from another.

I could not find this person in the 1910 Census...anywhere, but

Charles W. Taylor, age 65, laborer
Celia/Lelia, E, wife, 47
Charles H, son, born in Arkansas

--One resource identified he had, at least temporarily, attended Pacific University, so there was a potential Washington connection. Based on found information on "The Voice of Experience," you wouldn't want him teaching high school.
--One resource identified, "Marion Sayle Taylor, the Voice of Experience, was superintendent of schools in North Bend (on Coos Bay) Oregon 1923-26. A husband & wife research team there are beginning the exploration of his life for a biography. "

I'd suggest a visit to your local library, besides the references above, the Marquis Who's Who has an article. It is also available on the web (pay site). There are many sites having some info on him on the Internet. None indicate a connection to Anacortes.

You could contact the Anacortes School District. They "might" have someone that does Historian type duties:

However, since they probably don't, your best resource would be the Washington State Archives, Northwest Regional Branch. They do have School District Records:
