Castner Kin
The book we found in Warren County at the Washington Public Library, because the local H.S was closed. We found the libray copied everything on Castner's to go through it when we got home, and we did come home with tons of paper.
The book is
By the Neck Until Dead by Frank Dale
I don't know where you could purchase it and I don't know when it was published. Sorry, Maybe if you go into the Warren,or Washington web site and put in Change Water you will find something on the murders.

My husband Bob and I wrote the complete story of The Changewater Murders in 1998. 161-page book with some genealogical information. Is there some particular question I could answer for you?

I am not related to this family of Castner's but I found the story very sad and even made a trip to the cem where they were buried. While in Warren County. Thank you so much for asking.

My very great grandfather was Peter Castner b. 1781 d 1851. One tax record I found showed that he lived within 50 miles of Changewater. Any chance he was a brother or a cousin to John?

Thanks,

Alex Castner

John had a brother named Peter, but his dates were 1808 to 1886. There were many Castners in the area. I'm not sure where your Peter would fit in.

would like to purchase a copy of your book regarding the Changewater murders - have been tracing the Castners as Moore Castner, brother to John Castner, owned the property I live in on Main Street Glen Gardner. Very interested.

Hi, my name is Jessica Hulsizer-Rowe. I'm a descendant of William Hulshizer, the head of controversy for these murders. I would like to read your book. l How would I get a copy as I looked online and could only find one in the library of congress and I'm in Omaha, Nebraska. I really appreciate it!
