Has anyone else uploaded a gedcom created from TMG7? Somehow, it won't take. The gedcom is created but whenever I upload I get a
"Error: There was a problem uploading your family tree file, please try again."

message. Any help appreciated. Lori

Hmmm...

I've uploaded GEDCOMS from TMG7 to the online trees with no problem.

Have you tried loading it into another genealogy program or to World Connect on Rootsweb to see if the same thing happens?

Good thought! Went to WorldConnect and it uploaded just fine. Darn, I really wanted to try this. Thanks for the suggestion.

OK- that proves that the gedcom itself is ok.
btw- what is the size of the gedcom, Ancestry has a 75MB limit but I don' know what Rootsweb's World Connect limit is.

Now try downloading a full gedcom of what you uploaded to World Connect and feeding that gedcom into Ancestry, see if Ancestry will accept the gedcom from World Connect.

This definitely helps, if only to rule in or out possible problems. Whole family has the flu so stuff I might normally think of is harder to remember!

Downloaded and re-uploaded as requested - error persists! Other possibilities? Max record length maybe?

Can't think of any other possibilities just now.
You might want to try the TMG mailing list- there are some pretty smart people there that know the program well who may have ideas.

The problem was I was using Google's Chrome browser. When I switched to IE it worked the first time.
