Are we really not allowed to mention ANOTHER site?

I will try - there are two sites, the 1911 census site, and FMP, where the 1911 is available. The two sites have slightly different payment schemes and search functions. They are run by the same outfit.

It is very difficult to give answers in the absence of a question.

I'm not sure what the question is you want answers too. If it is 'should I stay or should I go?' then I think only you can really answer the question.

If you go to the site with the 1911 census I believe you will find they still haven't completed the earlier censuses (though I think they are nearly there) which may or may not be a problem for you. You wont have the LMA if that is important to you, you wont have complete transcriptions of the BMD indices if those are important to you. There may be other databases that Ancestry has that you'll no longer have access to. On the other hand they may have other databases that are of interest to you such as the NBI or overseas and armed forces BMD.

The 1911 census will almost certainly appear on Ancestry eventually, just as it will appear on other sites which also have their own unique selling points. No one site has it all. You just have to decide where to spend your money and when.
