Surnames: Houstin, Houston, Savage
I do not have acess to the book, since I am in Missouri, but I was wondering did your research turn up any individuals with the last name Savage or Houstin? I am searching for more information on my gggrandmother Elvira Savage and it lists her birth county as Green County KY on her death certificate. Her husband John Houstin was also probably a slave in Green County, but was born in North Carolina

Hi Mary,

How are you doing? I know you've been sick and had family issues you've been dealing with; just checking in with you again about volume 2 of the Black Records Book. Has there been any progress in that area.

Cynthia, Utah
