I am posting a look-up I did for
SCHMALING.
Moravian Historical Society, Nazareth, PA (610) 759-5070, Transactions of the Moravian Historical Society: Vol. V, No. 2 (1896-1899), "Moravian Immigration to
Pennsylvania, 1734-1767, with some account of the Transport
Vessels," John W. Jordan.
SCHMALING, George, one of the "single brethren" in the charge of Henry
SEIDEL,
11th voyage of Moravian ship "Irene" from NY 1755, from
England April 6, 1756, arrived NY June 2, 1756.
I don't see him buried in
Bethlehem or Nazareth,
Northampton Co., PA or in Moravian settlements in Winston-Salem, NC. Oh well, that makes sense if he was in the
Warwick, now "Lititz" Moravian Church settlement,
Lancaster Co., PA. Please search the archived messages of
MORAVIANCHURCH-L@rootsweb.com here*** because I have posted info about all the known Moravian activity in
Lancaster Co., PA from the very detailed "
Churches and Cemeteries..." by LanCoHistSociety.
